Discussed are the problematic situations experienced by the process servers profession and the lack of public awareness. Dr. Schmidt is actively engaged in the pursuit of retaining Pro Connect to act as their publicist and also engage in lobbying efforts with the Colorado legislature. Dr. Schmidt's goal is to achieve some parity within the legal community, law enforcement and judicial system. Dr. Schmidt believes we (legal community and law enforcement) are all acting as professionals on behalf of the judicial system and as such we should be treated equally. We are essentially doing the same tasks as the Sheriff's Office, but with no law enforcement backup when requested. Epiffany, Inc. is one of Colorado's largest professional private process service corporations with an outstanding record of the highest integrity. Dr. Schmidt is actively trying to encourage the legislature and the Colorado Attorney General's Office into requiring licensing and registration of all process service companies. Dr. Schmidt believes in open and fair competition, but also disagrees that anyone can do this job.
